Q: Is there any type of laser/cosmetic acne therapy that’s guaranteed to work on acne?
I have tried absolutely everything for my moderate-severe acne (I even took accutane twice), and it’s still awful. I’m 17, and I’ve had acne since I was 13. Is it worth getting some sort of a laser treatment, even though it’s very expensive? Does anyone know if results are guaranteed, or if I do get good results would my acne come back a couple months later?

A: Nothing is guaranteed in life.

Q: how effective is an acne/pimple scar laser therapy?
has anyone gone through the process?
especially in laserhq in covina,LA?
and how much did it cost?
and any side effects?

A: All I know is that acne scar treatment requires your skin is already free of active acne. While many recover without any permanent effects some are left with acne scars. The important thing is to use botanically based products and i found them in Arbonne. I use them because they are formulatted without mineral oil and without animal products. Mineral oil is the 2nd worse thing for the health of your skin the 1st thing would be the sun. Animal products come from Rendering Plants and they pick dead animals and they put it in a huge pot and smash everything down and boil it and the oil that comes up is what other companies use to formulate their makeup (eww the lipsticks), gross i know) and skin care products. I found this site and it has helped my family and my friends. They have a variety of products for everybody….. try it, you have nothing to loose, only acne and scars;) they are called Clear Advantage and they are not pricey also they have a 45 day money back guarantee….even if the product is finished so there you go,!!! http://arbonnepuertorico.myarbonne.com … and go under shop online, they are not sold in stores but they are just amazing….

Q: What is the best way to get acne under control, laser treatments, light therapy, or peels?

A: neither one of your answers were good you should go for proactive if you got the money.

Q: acne laser treatments?
Has anyone had light therapy, laser therapy, Photodynamic, therapy Radiofrequency therapy, chemical peels or Microdermabrasion therapy for the treatment of acne? if so how did it turn out? would you recommend it? Thank you so much for your answers!

A: If you have a very bad skin, then chemical peels is the best solution. You will have 1 week red flakey skin, high sun protection, its best not to get out, I don’t think you would want to. But you have to do it once in a while and its costly. But in return you will have new fresh skin.
I use have bad skin, I tried everything, but microdermabrasion works. I like it how it works slowly and see result. The cost was worth it. My skin is sensitive and I don’t want to do chemical peels. Microdermabrasion is safe and very good result.
Laser treatment is not recommended as you have to come back often and its very costly.

Q: Something similar to laser treatment for home use on acne scars?
Is there anything I can use at home to zap away the red scars, pigmentation left by old acne? I’ve tried creams such as mederma, retin-a, mama lotion, acne mark fading peels and home microdermabrasion kits but nothing’s really helped.
I know there are devices such as the zeno for acne. Are there any similar light-therapy device for scars that are a milder form of laser treatment, that I can use at home?
Thank you!

A: I have never heard of a home laser system for acne scaring.

But perhaps you could give some home remedies a try?

I used Zenmed and it seemed to work for me, their scar kit especially the skin eraser did wonders for me.

Q: Can I have laser skin therapy while taking accutane?
I recently had mild acne breakouts and they left really deep scars behind. I went to a a dermatologist who put me on an 8 month course of Isotretinoin (one 20mg capsule every day). She also gave me a laser therapy (carbon dioxide laser) for the acne scars. A month into the laser therapy, and 25 days into the accutane course, I feel the scars have improved somewhat and my skin is flaking and falling off. But other scars still remain, and there are even some pits here and there.

Is it now wise to go for another session of the laser therapy while I am on accutane? Would it have any adverse effects? I read somewhere you should not have a laser therapy for up to 6 months after accutane. But what about during accutane? I am less than a month into it. I am not sure if the dermatologist cares about this (she’ didn’t say much during my first session about mixing the two), but it has worked. So what should I do? I would really appreciate your input. thank you so much. Thank you.

A: I think laser therapy while on Accutane actually increases your chances of scarring. So it’s kinda pointless.

There might be other bad effects too. I heard Accutane makes your skin very sensitive to sunlight, but I’m not sure about lasers.

Q: If anyone had treatment for scarring from bouts of acne, such as laser resurfacing, dermabrasion,…?
fractional laser therapy, chemical peel or microdermabrasion, what are some rules that you must adhere to during the healing period? Like, can you still use daily skin products i.e Proactiv during that time, go outside, wear sunscreen, advoid any food products, etc.

A: I had microderma and chemical peels, but not for acne (I think you cannot have either on active acne). I had them for scars, wrinkles and age spots. The glycolic peel had no effect. Microdermabrasion worked well. I had 8 sessions and ,y face looks much better now. You cannot go in the sun for at least a week and wear high SPF for 3 months after the procedure. You cannot combine microderma with any other exfoliating procedure like dermabrasion, laser or chemical peels. You need to let your skin heal between these procedures.
STop smoking, drink lots of water and eat as many fresh vegetables as you can.
Hope this helps.

Q: Where can I get Blue light laser treatment for acne in the UK?
In London? any websites…having trouble finding some. I don’t want to purchase a portable light therapy ox I want to have blue light laser treatment at a hosiptal or clinic.

xxx

A: just go to a nearby hospital, which is pretty big.

Q: Isolaz Laser Therapy?
Have you gotton Isolaz Deep Pore Lazr Therapy? Have you gotten laser therapy or plastic surgery for your acne and scars on your face? What are the best treatments?

A: Not sure about Isolaz, but in the summer I had a course of Jet Peels followed by PPX Laser treatment. Although it helped even out some pigmented areas and smoothed the skin in parts it didn’t have any beneficial effect on the acne.

Q: How to clear up acne using alternative therapy (& please be specific)?
I’ve tried the otc meds, presciption creams, antibiotics, laser and none have worked in permanently clearing up this chronic condition. I’ve suffered from this for 13+ years and I am so weary. What else should I try? Please help me if you can. Thank you.
please no suggestions involving over-the-counter products (like proactiv or aveeno) or prescriptions (like Accutane) – I though I outlined that in my original question? This is posted in the Alternative section as I am looking for alternative solutions. Many thanks to those who respond with that consideration in mind.

Q: should acne scars ruin my life like this?
am in my mid twenties, I am working and a single woman. I have had acne and I am becoming more and more conscious with the bad scars it left on my skin. The problem is that many times I feel am avoided by men, though I am okay when it comes to beauty and elegance, and I am, in return, avoiding the places where young men may be and following a home-work-home plan..I know am becoming obssessed by it, but I cannot afford laser therapy now. How can I address this issue?

A: You are much more than a pretty face, but guys aren’t going to have a chance to find that out if they don’t have a chance to meet you. Try and forget about your scars and get involved in some activities that you enjoy. Learn to smile a lot. It may take some practice.
Are there some volunteer activities you can get into. Guys involved in them may be more likely to see the “real” you and not be just looking for a perfect face. Give it a try. You may be surprised. Good luck,

Q: skin problem should i use laser therapy?
I used pro active a year ago. I didn’t have that much of pimples but I thought that I would be flawless.after 2 weeks of using pro active
i started to get acne on my neck where I didn’t have any b4.
So I think that I got allergic.and I stoped using it made my skin really dry under my chin and neck.
The pimples sometimes go away and sometimes come back.
But it has made too many pimple marks on my face…
I try to hide it with make up and it kind of helps.
But then after a couple of hours it gets all dry.
And my skin looks cracked.
I have some facial hair too which I want to laser.
With laser hair removal
do u guys think that it will get rid of my pimple marks?
Or is it not good because my skin is very dry? Or does laser help with dry skin I have an appoinment to do the laser in 2 days just making sure .
I really want my old skin back.
Plz let me know ..
Thanks 4 you’re help.

A: I had the same problem with pimple scars!!
you got to use specific cream that helps with scars
and stretchmarks as for the excess hair i do suggest
you get that removed with laser as if you shave or wax
the hair will grow back twice as long and thick!! but i will
send you a link to oil that helped with my pimple scars its called
“BIO OIL” http://www.bio-oil.info/
GOOD LUCK!!

Q: Effective acne treatment and scar removal surgery?
I have severe acne problem and I have used those acne free and Neutrogena acne therapy lotions.

It doesn’t seem it works effectively and it dries my skins to the point that it actually “peels off” my skin.

Also, my face gets itch after a while whenever I use them. (and my skin peels off)

As they indicated, I reduced the usage only once a day but it still dries my skin too much. (and doesn’t reduce the breakouts)

I found out that there are laser acne surgery and skin resurfacing surgery (I have a lot of acne scars on my face),

I want to have these laser acne surgery and acne scar removal surgery.

Are they effective? How much is it going to cost for the entire face care?

A: There is this new popular cream that people have been talking about.

It was even televised on TV.

It prevents future and existing acne, diminishes scars, and lightens skin and blemishes. Fast results too! (It’s been claimed that major results can be seen within a week and no later than two weeks)

Before and After photos are available at the given ebay site.

This person is providing 1-3 week trial samples (Only for ONE DOLLAR.. definitely a deal) on ebay at:

Search up “Cee En’s Acne Solution” or “best acne solution ever” on ebay.

First 100 customers can get the item for $1 for one week trial and up to 3 weeks. Or you can purchase 1 month supply for $40 or 6 month supply for $160

It’s expensive, but the product DOES work.

My sister and cousin who both have major acne have tried the product and they both give it thumbs up. I have also heard many great feedbacks about this cream.

I don’t have a problem with acne, but it seems to have great results on my sister who has moderate to severe acne. Her acne swelling went away overnight.

check the seller’s feedbacks on the cream

I hope this helps. =)

Q: Need Help with Adult Acne Please?
I am 29 year old female with cystic acne. I have spent thousands of dollars on laser therapy, tried proactiv, and tried taking supplements that balance out hormones and all have failed.
Cystic acne is mostly in the chin area, and sometimes small acne on cheeks.
I don’t know what else to try.
