Q: Acne Remedies?
May anyone consider giving me some acne remedies?
(Home rememdies, Homeopathy, Cleasners, ETC.)

My dad is suppose to go out for me and get me whatever I want because I am passing a school class (With an A finally!), and I’m suppose to tell him by tomorrow. So any ideas?

P.S.: I don’t want an answer like “Visit a dermatologist…” because, as I know, since I am under the age of 18 and it’ll be pointless because of the fact that it’s my hormones. BUT it doesn’t mean that acne isn’t ruining my self esteem so please give me answers that’ll actually help me?! =(

A: This is what I suggest:

Mix baking soda and witch hazel/or water together until it comes to a good consistancy, and then spread on your face and leave it on for 10-15 minutes. These two things are very inexpensive and it’s very easy to do since there is only two ingredients.

Toothpaste is good for drying out your pimple (for some people). Put only a little bit before you go to sleep. But this is not recommended to everyone because it can make it worse.

Try to buy a cleanser that works for you, and when you wash your face, open your pores with hot water (not too hot, or it will dry out your skin) and massage it gently into your skin. Then, use cold water at the end to close you pores. The smaller your pores are, the less likely you’re prone to pimples. Don’t use body soaps because they dry out your skin. Don’t scrub too hard when you wash your face, because it can irritate your skin.

Zinc (type of vitamin) is the one of the best things you can use to get rid of pimples. You can buy these almost about any large store (such as Wal-Mart or Shaws.) Have one or two tablet per day and try to cut down the junk food and replace it with vegetables and fruits. Drink lots of water and don’t pop you acne. Popping acne can lead to acne scars. Zinc can be found in many types of fishes.

If you have sensitive skin, don’t use make up. Some of the things in make up can clog your pores and cause pimples. Keep your hands out of your face as much as you can because you hands are full of bacteria and oils. Keep your hair out of your face because the oils in your hair could go into your pores. Change you sheets because they’re are trapped with dirt, oils, etc.

An egg yoke can be used to make you pores smaller. I used this when I had pimples. Just take the egg yolk (the yellow part) and leave it on your face for 10-15 minutes and rinse off with warm water and then splash your face with cold water. Aloe vera helps acne scars lighten and less noticeable (lemon, cocoa butter, witch hazel, and tea tree oil do the same thing). Use the gel (of the aloe plant) or the real thing.

Q: Acne remedies?
I’ve tried tons of face washes and scrubs and creams for my face, but I want to try home-made remedies to help that are made with homke products, because I think it might be calmer on my skin.
I need a face mask, scrub, something purposely for pimples, preferably not overnight.
Thank you so much!

A: Cucumber – mashed or in juice form – can be applied to sensitive skin; unlike many other acne home remedies it doesn’t dry your skin, on the contrary, it acts like a very gentle cleanser and moisturizer. Log on to http://tipsfromruby-acne.blogspot.com/ for a few home made tips to heal acne .

Q: How many natural acne remedies can i do a day?
i know alot of natural acne remedies that i would likie to try out but i dont know hoe many i should do a day. For example, how many times can i wash my face a day(with plain water)?

A: That depends on what kind of skin you have. If like me you have Oily, problem skin, washing my face more than twice a day will cause it to break out. I’ve realised that soap is probably the worst thing I can use. The soap washes away my ‘natural oil’ and my skin will then try to replace it and therefore cause excess grease and spots.

Using as hot as possible water also helps my skin. Maybe it’s worth a go?!

If you’re in the UK, try ‘Boots Acne relief’ tablets. They come in an olive colour box. I think they are brilliant, and highly recommended.

Q: Home acne remedies to get rid of white heads?
im very into theatr and have aton of experiance but i want to take it to he next step and get a talent agencie. but my mom said before i can have to get rid of my acne. its not terrible at all its very undercontroll and its mostly just white heads, all the accual pimples are gone. but nothing is healping the last bit of it go away. ive tried tons of stuff in stores so now i want to try home remedies if anyone knows any plese healp!

A: Acne has an affect on everyone. It is not going to zap away it will take some time.
You Will Need -
• A gentle facial cleanser
• Warm water
• A towel
• Topical acne medication
• Sunscreen
• Patience
• A tissue
• Noncomedogenic cosmetics
• Shaving cream with benzoyl peroxide
• A dermatologist
• Prescription acne medicine
Step 1:
Wash your face with a gentle cleanser with warm water, every morning and night.
Don’t put pressure on your acne it will make acne red and irritated.
Step 2:
Gently dab away water on your face, but don’t take all of the moisture away because it will only make your skin dry. Be careful to wash your face too much because it can irritate your skin. If you have oily skin, get a tissue and wipe the oil away.
Step 3:
Apply a topical acne medication, from a dermatologist or from any store. You can also get lotion, or gel containing benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid.
Benzoyl peroxide gets bacteria from the skin and salicylic acid helps unclog pores and prevent your skin from peeling. Get one that fits better for your skin.
Step 4:
Protect your skin with a non-comedogenic sunscreen(sunscreen that doesn’t clog pores). To avoid your skin from way too much sunlight, that can make your acne worse.
Step 5:
Use only non-comedogenic, water-based make-up that is oil-free. There are moisturizers and makeup that is made for people who have acne
Step 6:
Be careful when you shave. Shaving can irritate your skin and shake in only one direnction.
Some shaving creams have benzoyl peroxide, so it can help get rid of your acne.

Step 7:
NEVER squeeze, pop, or pinch acne. It causes more acne and it can make you get scarring.
Step 8:
Try avoid things touching your face, like holding a phone against your face, wearing sports equipment, or resting your chin on your hand.
Step 9:
Keep your hair clean and out of your face. The natural oils in hair can contribute to acne, as can hair products that contain oil.
Step 10:
If you still have acne while taking care of your skin you might want to go to a dermatologist. There are different types of acne and different treatment.
Step 11:
Be patient! Fighting acne can be slow, and it’s not going to zap away in a day. But when you get rid of your acne, you’ll say hello to your new face.

Q: Does anybody have any acne remedies that work?
please help! I am breaking out real bad on my nose and forehead! i usually have really clear skin and this summer i have acne :( if you have any home remedies or products to recommend, feel more than welcome to share! thank you!

A: Control your acne by following the Acne Treatment 99 protocol:

Morning – Use a Salicylic Acid face wash. Rub it on your face, and let it soak in for 2 or 3 minutes before washing it off. After you do this, apply a small amount of Benzoyl Peroxide to your entire face, and rub it in. Wait two to three minutes for the Benzoyl Peroxide to dry completely, and then moisturize your face with a non-comedogenic moisturizer. Follow with cosmetics if desired.

Night –Use exfoliate salicylic acid face scrub. Make sure to let it soak in for 2 or 3 minutes before rinsing. For an aggressive treatment, you can apply another layer of benzoyl peroxide.

Before bed – Apply a generous amount of Vaseline to your face. This will lock in the moisture, and prevent your skin from peeling.

Please note- If you exercise during the day, it is recommended that you shower and wash your face, in order to keep your skin clean and free of bacteria.

Q: I have problem of acne. Can anybody tell me the best sites for acne remedies?
I have problem of acne and I want to make my skin acne free. Can anybody tell me the best sites for acne remedies

A: Be careful to whom you listen. It is not caused by chocolate candy or tomato’s or anything you eat. Washing our face a hundred times a day just dries out your skin. It is caused by heredity. Bacteria, known as Propionibacterium acnes, is a normal inhabitant of the skin. It uses sebum as a nutrient for growth, and therefore increases in follicles during puberty. People with acne have more Propionibacterium acnes in their follicles than people without acne. The presence of bacteria attracts white blood cells to the follicle. These white blood cells produce an enzyme that damages the wall of the follicle, allowing the contents of the follicle to enter the dermis. This process causes an inflammatory response seen as papules (red bumps), pustules, and nodules. The bacteria also cause the formation of free fatty acids, which are irritants, increasing the inflammatory process in the follicle.

The washes you see really do little if anything but you can try Accutane (keeping in mind there have been problems with it-mental problems and suicide).

Antibiotics work by several mechanisms. The most important is the decrease in the number of bacteria in and around the follicle. Antibiotics also work by reducing the irritating chemicals produced by white blood cells.

Finally, antibiotics reduce the concentration of free fatty acids in the sebum, also reducing the inflammatory response. The most frequently used antibiotics for acne are: Tetracycline, Erythromycin, Minocycline, Doxycycline and Clindamycin.

The only other thing “I” would recommend is Retin-A and it is not going to do what you want it to do. However, trust me when I say these washes do and can not work!

Consumer report along with the “New England Medicial Journal” have glowing remarks about a product called “Proactiv”.

The best thing you could do is see a dermatologist. God bless you and the Southern People.

Q: Are there any home acne remedies?
I’ve tried every product out there. None of them have worked for me. & I can’t buy the expensive stuff.
So are there any home remedies out there that get rid of acne?

A: These are simple…I use them about once every two weeks to maintain clear skin.
Mix:
2 tablespoons yogurt (plain)
1 teaspoon lemon (or lime) juice.
-mix thoroughly and spread over face. Leave on 3-5 minutes, than rinse.

Another one is creating a mixture of salt water. Boil a cup of water (it’ll end up being about a 1/2 cup), put in bowl and mix in 3-5 tablespoons of salt. Wash face thoroughly using a washcloth soaked in the solution.

I hope these help you!
Best wishes,
Evangeline

Q: Some good at home acne remedies?
What are some at home acne remedies that work?

A: 1.Try using witch hazel and lemon juice as an astringent. If you have oily skin and believe this exacerbates your acne or pimples, as the bacteria underneath, which has already clogged your pores, has trouble being released due to excess oil on the skin’s surface level, witch hazel and lemon juice are an all-natural remedy to remove excess oil from your skin. You can find organic witch-hazel at Vitamin Shoppe (www.vitaminshoppe.com). Lemon juice can be found at your local grocer.
2.Drink more tea. Tea has extremely effective skin-healing, purifying, and antioxidant properties that have been proven to aid in acne and acne scar reduction. Red tea and chamomile tea have particularly been found to be therapeutic in reducing acne, acne scars, whiteheads, and blackheads. Additionally, chamomile has been found to stop acne, especially in the essential oil form because of its powerful effects. Celestial Seasonings (www.celestialseasonings.com) makes both chamomile and red teas and they cost relatively little. Drink about 2-3 cups a day. Your acne-prone skin will thank you. You can also add honey and lemon, which both are great for skin health and acne.
3.Remove excess oils, dirt, toxins, and free radicals from Your Skin. Exfoliating is a must for anyone who has acne, pimples, or acne scars. The key, however, is not too overscrub your acne and to find a gentle acne cleanser. Look for a scrub that is all natural and contains scar and acne healing ingredients, such as lemon, baking soda, orange, chamomile, aloe vera, and salicylic acid.
4.Make an all natural acne-eliminating potion. Wash your face 2 times a day with the following: 1 tablespoon of witch hazel, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, 1 tablespoon of brewed green Tea, and 1/4 cup of baking soda. Your skin should show a difference.
5.Steam your face. Hold your face over a basin of warm, not scalding hot water for 1-2 minutes. Then place cold ice cubes on your pores. This will tighten your pores and help your acne

Q: Acne remedies for teenage girls?
I don’t have much money to spend on all different kinds of acne medecines, does anyone have any home remedies?

I wear water based makeup daily and I can’t not wear it because I go to school.

Any thing that might also shrink pores?

A: I have some home remedies and advices for you. I hope this helps:

When the skin lubricated, become clogged or are not regenerated in sufficient quantity to handle the load this may result in whiteheads or blackheads being formed. Pimples are then formed when the bacteria is released from these clogged pores.

For serious blemishes, try washing with Fels-Naptha soap, strong stuff for oily skin. However, if your skin is normal or dry, you’ll need something gentler for your face.

Clearing Up The Outside From The Inside Grandma, like mothers everywhere, swears that all the high-fat food we love so much does a number on our complexions. Scientists may not be quite as convinced, but to be on the safe side, avoid chocolate, chips and fried foods.

Eating more brown rice is good advice for improving overall health. It is also good for your complexión. To ward off pimples and other facial blemishes, make brown rice a regular part of your diet.

Keeping the skin and body hydrated by drinking at least eight glasses of water daily is an effective method of keeping the skin clear and assisting it in clearing wastes.

Studies show that zinc deficiency may contribute to acne. Be sure to check with your doctor before taking a supplement, since too much zinc may have harmful side-effects.

Spread It On Thick To help fight pimples, use a paste of onion and honey. Cook one sliced onion in a half cup honey until it is tender. Mash with a fork to form into a paste and allow the mixture to cool. Apply to the problem área, leaving it on for an hour before rinsing away with warm water. Use this treatment every night before going to bed until your complexion is clear and sparkling. An application of egg whites helps distribute the skin’s natural oils more evenly, eliminating both dry and oily patches.

Swab the egg white on your face with a cotton ball, allow to stand for five minutes and remove. Studies have shown that certain amino acids in the egg white’s protein may have some anti-inflammatory properties. In most cases, small blemishes and pimples can be eliminated or reduced in size in a matter of days.

Oatmeal has long been used to control the spread of acné, as well as to speed up the healing process. Prepare the oatmeal as directed (without the milk, brown sugar, and raisins, of course!) and apply to the face. Let it stand for ten to fifteen minutes before washing off. The abrasive action of the oats cleanses deeply and increases the peripheral circulation in the affected área, which speeds up healing.

Acne and eczema as well as psoriasis have responded well to a paste made from the grain amaranth and placed on the ‘affected area. Internally, it is taken as a tea. Take two teaspoons of the fresh seeds and cover them with boiling water, simmer on low heat for five to six minutes, remove from the heat and add two to three amaranth leaves and allow to steep for thirty to forty minutes. Two cups per day should provide relief from a number of skin problems.

Super Strawberry Facial If you have a chronic problem skin, try Grandma’s Super Strawberry Facial. It takes a little while to prepare, so you have to plan ahead. About four hours before you’ll want to go to bed, combine a cup of mashed strawberries in two cups of white eider vinegar. By the time you’re ready to go to bed, it should be ready. Make sure you strain out all the solids and keep the liquid. Apply liberally to your face. Don’t worry, it dries quickly. In the morning, rinse your face with warm water. It’s as good an astringent as anything you can buy. Your face will feel clean and tight. It shouldn’t be long before you can kiss those pimples good-bye.

Make An Astringent At Home Blackheads respond well to lemon juice, a substance with wonder-ful astringent properties. Rub lemon juice over the blemished skin before going to bed and rinse with cool water in the morning. After a couple of days, you should see definite results.

Vinegar is a mild acid and cleans the affected area, reducing bacterial levels. Apply apple eider vinegar with a cot-ton swab and allow to stand for ten minutes before removing with a mild soap.

You’ll find cucumber toners in most expensive lines of skin care products. Cucumber extract soothes skin and helps dry out acne. Juice a cucumber and apply it to your blemishes with a cotton ball. After fifteen minutes, rinse your face.

Q: Any really good ideas for clearing up acne or any great acne remedies?
got acne, hate it. any things i can do which are fast and reeli productive?

A: How many times have you been looking forward to an upcoming event only to have a pretty serious breakout? You could either choose to skip the event or you can look for a quick acne treatment to help clear away those nasty pimples. Try these acne cure remedy masks to help stop those blemishes.

A great quick acne treatment that I know is to use an aspirin mask. Take two to help with the headache that your experiencing, then crush up two, mix them with water, and put the paste on your face. This acne cure remedy will quickly dispose of any unseemly blemishes in a short amount of time.

This mask is not only awesome for reducing current blemishes, but it’s a nice at exfoliating your skin. It will clear away dead skin cells and it will also clean your pores out, helping to prevent future breakouts.

Another favorite quick acne treatment is to use egg whites with a little bit of lemon juice squeezed in. For heaven’s sake, don’t use fake lemon juice, use the real stuff! Just spread this on your face until it dries and just rinse it off.

The combination off egg yolks and lemon juice in the acne cure remedy work together very well. The lemon reduces the effect of blemishes both old and new and the egg whites will make your skin very smooth and it will look very healthy.

The last quick acne treatment is to make an oatmeal mask. Oatmeal masks are great at reducing the appearance of any current breakouts and they help clear them up that much faster. This will have you back to normal in no time.

An oatmeal mask can be prepared in either of two ways. You can either turn the oatmeal into a fine powder in a blender and mix that powder with some lemon juice, or you can actually cook the oatmeal and put that on your face after you have allowed it to cool. Both produce similar results so feel free to try either or both.

Don’t stress to much over that big event looming just over the horizon. You won’t ever be able to clear an acne blemish is just a few hours, but at least one acne cure remedy here will help you reduce the appearance of a breakout in just a few days.

Q: how to get rid of acne acne remedies?
What are some great tips for someone suffering from acne?
I need some homemade solutions if they exist, i don’t want to spend much money?

A: Natural Acne Solutions

Looking for a natural way to treat your acne? You probably have a variety of reasons for wanting to try natural acne solutions. It could be that your body had an adverse reaction to artificial solutions, or you simply want to try alternative solutions to your persistent acne problems.

Whatever your reasons are, we are going to show you some natural acne solutions that will help you deal with acne, minus artificial treatment that may hurt your skin. Here are some of the natural acne solutions you can try:

1.Honey. Honey is recognized for its antibacterial properties, which may prove beneficial if you apply it on your face twice a week. Honey can then kill acne-causing bacteria that might be hiding under your skin. What’s more, honey is easily available and relatively cheap, so you won’t have any problems acquiring this.
2.Tea tree oil. Benzoyl peroxide is a known and effective acne solution. However, if you’re not too keen on applying that solution on your face, tea tree oil might be a good alternative. Tea tree oil is a little slower to take effect than bezoyl peroxide, but if you’re all about using natural products, then tea tree oil does the job well.
3.Washing your face regularly. Sometimes, all you need to prevent acne is an ounce of proper hygiene. Washing your face regularly can significantly reduce your chances of having acne. The reason for this is that washing helps remove oils and dirt that are building up in your hair follicles. If you don’t remove them, the accumulated oil and dirt could clog these follicles, which could then cause acne to erupt. You don’t even have to use special soaps to do this. Washing your face with clean water twice a day is often enough.
4.Proper diet. Believe it or not, the food that you eat can also cause acne breakouts. There are studies which suggest that there are certain foods that can cause acne such as milk, as well as foods rich in carbohydrates. Therefore, if you avoid these foods associated with acne, then you’ll lessen your chances of having acne problems. Consult with your dermatologist and nutritionist for more information on foods to avoid. Your nutritionist can provide you with a diet plan can eliminate your acne problems for good.
5.Glycolic acid. Found in sugar cane, glycolic acid can help unclog hair follicles and therefore prevent acne breakouts. Just be careful not to apply too much glycolic acid on your skin, as it could cause a mild stinging sensation when applied.
