Q: How many natural acne remedies can i do a day?
i know alot of natural acne remedies that i would likie to try out but i dont know hoe many i should do a day. For example, how many times can i wash my face a day(with plain water)?
A: That depends on what kind of skin you have. If like me you have Oily, problem skin, washing my face more than twice a day will cause it to break out. I’ve realised that soap is probably the worst thing I can use. The soap washes away my ‘natural oil’ and my skin will then try to replace it and therefore cause excess grease and spots.
Using as hot as possible water also helps my skin. Maybe it’s worth a go?!
If you’re in the UK, try ‘Boots Acne relief’ tablets. They come in an olive colour box. I think they are brilliant, and highly recommended.
Q: I have problem of acne. Can anybody tell me the best sites for acne remedies?
I have problem of acne and I want to make my skin acne free. Can anybody tell me the best sites for acne remedies
A: Be careful to whom you listen. It is not caused by chocolate candy or tomato’s or anything you eat. Washing our face a hundred times a day just dries out your skin. It is caused by heredity. Bacteria, known as Propionibacterium acnes, is a normal inhabitant of the skin. It uses sebum as a nutrient for growth, and therefore increases in follicles during puberty. People with acne have more Propionibacterium acnes in their follicles than people without acne. The presence of bacteria attracts white blood cells to the follicle. These white blood cells produce an enzyme that damages the wall of the follicle, allowing the contents of the follicle to enter the dermis. This process causes an inflammatory response seen as papules (red bumps), pustules, and nodules. The bacteria also cause the formation of free fatty acids, which are irritants, increasing the inflammatory process in the follicle.
The washes you see really do little if anything but you can try Accutane (keeping in mind there have been problems with it-mental problems and suicide).
Antibiotics work by several mechanisms. The most important is the decrease in the number of bacteria in and around the follicle. Antibiotics also work by reducing the irritating chemicals produced by white blood cells.
Finally, antibiotics reduce the concentration of free fatty acids in the sebum, also reducing the inflammatory response. The most frequently used antibiotics for acne are: Tetracycline, Erythromycin, Minocycline, Doxycycline and Clindamycin.
The only other thing “I” would recommend is Retin-A and it is not going to do what you want it to do. However, trust me when I say these washes do and can not work!
Consumer report along with the “New England Medicial Journal” have glowing remarks about a product called “Proactiv”.
The best thing you could do is see a dermatologist. God bless you and the Southern People.
Q: Are there any home acne remedies?
I’ve tried every product out there. None of them have worked for me. & I can’t buy the expensive stuff.
So are there any home remedies out there that get rid of acne?
A: These are simple…I use them about once every two weeks to maintain clear skin.
Mix:
2 tablespoons yogurt (plain)
1 teaspoon lemon (or lime) juice.
-mix thoroughly and spread over face. Leave on 3-5 minutes, than rinse.
Another one is creating a mixture of salt water. Boil a cup of water (it’ll end up being about a 1/2 cup), put in bowl and mix in 3-5 tablespoons of salt. Wash face thoroughly using a washcloth soaked in the solution.
I hope these help you!
Best wishes,
Evangeline
Q: Any really good ideas for clearing up acne or any great acne remedies?
got acne, hate it. any things i can do which are fast and reeli productive?
A: How many times have you been looking forward to an upcoming event only to have a pretty serious breakout? You could either choose to skip the event or you can look for a quick acne treatment to help clear away those nasty pimples. Try these acne cure remedy masks to help stop those blemishes.
A great quick acne treatment that I know is to use an aspirin mask. Take two to help with the headache that your experiencing, then crush up two, mix them with water, and put the paste on your face. This acne cure remedy will quickly dispose of any unseemly blemishes in a short amount of time.
This mask is not only awesome for reducing current blemishes, but it’s a nice at exfoliating your skin. It will clear away dead skin cells and it will also clean your pores out, helping to prevent future breakouts.
Another favorite quick acne treatment is to use egg whites with a little bit of lemon juice squeezed in. For heaven’s sake, don’t use fake lemon juice, use the real stuff! Just spread this on your face until it dries and just rinse it off.
The combination off egg yolks and lemon juice in the acne cure remedy work together very well. The lemon reduces the effect of blemishes both old and new and the egg whites will make your skin very smooth and it will look very healthy.
The last quick acne treatment is to make an oatmeal mask. Oatmeal masks are great at reducing the appearance of any current breakouts and they help clear them up that much faster. This will have you back to normal in no time.
An oatmeal mask can be prepared in either of two ways. You can either turn the oatmeal into a fine powder in a blender and mix that powder with some lemon juice, or you can actually cook the oatmeal and put that on your face after you have allowed it to cool. Both produce similar results so feel free to try either or both.
Don’t stress to much over that big event looming just over the horizon. You won’t ever be able to clear an acne blemish is just a few hours, but at least one acne cure remedy here will help you reduce the appearance of a breakout in just a few days.
Q: how to get rid of acne acne remedies?
What are some great tips for someone suffering from acne?
I need some homemade solutions if they exist, i don’t want to spend much money?
Looking for a natural way to treat your acne? You probably have a variety of reasons for wanting to try natural acne solutions. It could be that your body had an adverse reaction to artificial solutions, or you simply want to try alternative solutions to your persistent acne problems.
Whatever your reasons are, we are going to show you some natural acne solutions that will help you deal with acne, minus artificial treatment that may hurt your skin. Here are some of the natural acne solutions you can try:
1.Honey. Honey is recognized for its antibacterial properties, which may prove beneficial if you apply it on your face twice a week. Honey can then kill acne-causing bacteria that might be hiding under your skin. What’s more, honey is easily available and relatively cheap, so you won’t have any problems acquiring this.
2.Tea tree oil. Benzoyl peroxide is a known and effective acne solution. However, if you’re not too keen on applying that solution on your face, tea tree oil might be a good alternative. Tea tree oil is a little slower to take effect than bezoyl peroxide, but if you’re all about using natural products, then tea tree oil does the job well.
3.Washing your face regularly. Sometimes, all you need to prevent acne is an ounce of proper hygiene. Washing your face regularly can significantly reduce your chances of having acne. The reason for this is that washing helps remove oils and dirt that are building up in your hair follicles. If you don’t remove them, the accumulated oil and dirt could clog these follicles, which could then cause acne to erupt. You don’t even have to use special soaps to do this. Washing your face with clean water twice a day is often enough.
4.Proper diet. Believe it or not, the food that you eat can also cause acne breakouts. There are studies which suggest that there are certain foods that can cause acne such as milk, as well as foods rich in carbohydrates. Therefore, if you avoid these foods associated with acne, then you’ll lessen your chances of having acne problems. Consult with your dermatologist and nutritionist for more information on foods to avoid. Your nutritionist can provide you with a diet plan can eliminate your acne problems for good.
5.Glycolic acid. Found in sugar cane, glycolic acid can help unclog hair follicles and therefore prevent acne breakouts. Just be careful not to apply too much glycolic acid on your skin, as it could cause a mild stinging sensation when applied.

Q: Is there any natural acne remedies or tricks that have worked really good for any one?
On Christmas day last year I woke up and realized I had broken out really bad on my forehead and every since then I’ve tried tons of things to make it go away,but nothing has worked…Anyone have any ideas?
A: hey Bridge,
if you’re only breaking out on your forehead you’re pretty lucky believe it or not. having acne in an isolated area is much easier to deal with than having it all over your face.
that said, it doesn’t sound like it’s become common knowledge yet that you shouldn’t put any chemicals on breakouts, you’ll most likely make it worse and make it scar.
if you treat it from the inside you get faster results, less scarring, and you’re preventing new breakouts…which is a good thing i say

Q: What are some really good home remedies for acne?
I have acne. It’s not mild but not extreme.. I’ve been scrubbing my face each night with Noxema and it’s not helping at all. Are there any home remedies that I can whip up with stuff just lying around the house that actually WORKS? Thanks.
A: Hi, I am a DIY person
so I am always looking for homemade stuff instead of buying.
I looked into the matter and I found out many natural home remedies for acne. Most of them will help your skin heal from the damage caused by your acne, but they won’t cure the acne.
But I didn’t give up. One theory that made sense to me is that you need to treat the internal problem causing acne. That is – hormonal imbalances, toxines etc..
How can you do that? – Primarily you must help the liver, the pancreas and the kidney.
I am currently using “Apple Cider Vinegar” which is a natural cure for acne.
Apple Cider Vinegar is an effective natural agent that cures acne by killing the bacteria and balancing our skin’s pH level (which is a measure of acidity). It also absorbs excessive oil from our skin, which is a leading cause of acne.
In the spring I will take a Dandelion cure.
Dandelion shuns wet places, it has two outstanding qualities: it is useful in disorders of the liver and of the gallbladder.
Dandelion and Stinging Nettle have a blood purifying effect. They aide the functions of the liver and the pancreas, thus reducing the hormonal imbalances in the body.
Infusion: 1 heaped tablespoon of roots is soaked in cold water overnight, brought to the boil and strained next day. This amount is apportionately sipped, half an hour before and half an hour after breakfast.
I also recommend a Nettle cure as an acne remedy.
- Wear gloves when handling fresh nettle plants.
- Remove leaves from stems and discard stems.
- Fill a teapot full of nettle leaves
- Pour boiling water over the leaves.
- Steep for 5 minutes.
- Add honey and/or lemon if desired and drink.
The tea will be somewhat bitter. However, it is quite nutritious an especially high in calcium.
Other quick homemade acne treatments I found to keep your skin clean:
1. Garlic is an excellent treatment for acne, in case you did not know. Just rub with a garlic clove cut in two over the acne, or cut into slivers a garlic clove and apply over acne with a plaster, leaving overnight to act;
2. Onion is a good apprentice in the fight against acne and its traces when it disappears. Make a puree with the blender and apply it as a facial mask once a week;
3. Lemon juice applied to skin helps to close pores, and to increase the brightness of skin;
4. Baking soda mixed with vegetal soap (preferably soap made only from olive oil or vegetable oil) is the best antibacterial scrub the skin;
5. Mixture of fine sea salt to whites of an egg is very good for sensitive skin attacked by acne. Apply as a mask and remove easily with circular movements;
6. Honey can be applied as a mask for acne skin;
7. Vinegar is a good tonic antiseptic for acne, acting very gentle if you mix in equal proportion with water or green tea;
8. Yogurt is very effective and safe for skin prone to acne. Apply directly from the jar, let it react 5-10 minutes, then rinse;
9. Cut a gauze circle about the size of the face, soak it in fresh made green tea (very hot but not boiling) and apply on face. Let dry and remove carefully;
10. Herbs such as echinacea, rosemary, dill and parsley are great for teas and infusions wich purify the skin.

-take cotton ball and hold it under for 60 seconds then squeeze it out so its damp but not drenched

Q: What are some home remedies to cure acne?
I’ve been reading up on home remedies to help get rid of acne, but everything I find suggests using ingredients I’ve never heard of…rose water, cinnamon powder, etc.
Are there any home remedies for acne that only involve everyday household items? Thanks
A: Well, if you’ve never heard of cinnamon I’m not sure what you consider everyday household items. However, what you eat has an influence on your acne. Stay away from food with a lot of sugar, saturated fats, alcohol, coffee, chocolate, fried foods, nuts, milk and milk products, and oil based cosmetics for a start.
With all that, what can you eat? Lots of fresh fruits and green leafy vegetables, ocean fish like tuna or salmon, tofu, pumpkin seeds, chick peas, beets, sprouts, fresh mint, fresh basil, and fresh parsley.
There are also herbal tinctures that a naturopathic physician or an herbalist can give to you to help balance your hormones and purify your body.
You can also take Vitamin A [50,000 IU a day for three days] and Zinc [45 mg a day].
Q: What are the best home remedies for acne?
I love home remedies and have found many that work but I havent foun any for acne does anybody know any?!?
A: The best remedies, that I can recommend that worked for me, was to watch my sugar intake. And during every shower I would use Head & Shoulders Dry Scape care shampoo and after the shower I would clean my pores with rubbing alcohoal. It always worked for me. Some moisturizer after the cleaning helps too.
Q: Any home remedies for acne that work?
My pimples aren’t big, they are small but the get really red. so even if they are small they are really noticeable. for some girls toothpaste works but for me it doesn’t do anything. so any good home remedies for acne?
A: Acne Marks or Scars
Here is a simple tip that you can use to reduce your acne scars and pigmentation.
The Oil Cleansing Method
What you will need:
Warm Water
Cold Water
Clean Towels
Castor Oil
Olive Oil
The first thing you need to do is to wash your face gently to remove excess dirt and oils from the surface.
You will then need to warm a clean towel in warm water and apply it to your face for 3 minutes. Do the same thing with the cold water but this time for one minute.
Carry out both the warm water and cold water procedure about 3 times but always finish with cold and then pat dry with another clean towel.
Next mix a small amount of castor oil with a small amount of olive oil. A 50/50 ratio will do just fine. Apply the mixture to your skin and let it stay there for 30 minutes and then rinse with warm water. Pat dry with a clean towel and you are good to go.
Q: DO you have any homeade remedies for acne?
Im doing a chemistry science project about natural cures for acne and I was wondering if you the public could give me some heads up on your own natural homade remedies so I could look further into which chemicals and substances I should further research. Thank you for all your help and the one with the best homeade remedy will receive best answer!
A: It would just be too easy… and I’d get a violation… Come on guys, you know what I mean
Q: Does anyone know of any home remedies for acne?
i have had rally bad acne for about 2 years and i am sick of it. store bought medicines hardly ever work. so i am now going to try out home remedies. does anyone know of any?
A: Sorry, but don’t listen to the people who tell you to use toothpaste. It can work for a pimple or two, but it’s not for bad acne. (btw, if you do use toothpaste be sure to use plain toothpaste, some whitening toothpastes have acids or other kids of bleach in them for the whitening.) Anyway. Acne is caused by clogged pores caused by oil-producing hormones and bacteria. Here are the most basic steps toward clear skin:
1. Stop touching your face! Quit picking at that zit and don’t even think about popping that pimple. You transfer oils and dirt and bacteria from your hands to your face when you touch it, only adding to your problem. Make sure you wash your hands before washing your face with them two.
2. Wash your face. You can wash gently twice a day if you’d like, but let your skin have a break sometimes too.
That’s the most basic of plans. If that fails you have three options:
1. Try ProActive, I hear it’s foolproof. (But be careful, when your acne clears up stop using it, you’ll only be damaging your skin.)
2. Talk to your doctor about getting an antibiotic for your skin, if your acne is caused by bacteria, that’s far more foolproof than any facewash
3. You can try birth control, which is known to clear up skin because it controls the hormones that cause oil and clogged pores and all that stuff. But a word of warning: your doctor can’t ‘t prescribe birth control for acne, just as a contraceptive. So tell him you need birth control.
Good luck, I’m sure your acne will clear up in no time. Just have patience. And by the way, there may be no way to completely *cure* your acne, but you can control it.
