Come visit Boswell and her staff on Moonlight Magic this year! It promises to be a lovely evening: boat parade, and all the local businesses with tents and tables set up for strolling, until 9:00pm on November 24th, the day after Thanksgiving. We have so many great gifts for you to choose from: tabletop games, fun kits for kids, mad libs, cards and calendars, beautiful leather journals, drawing pens, pencils and paint sets, and more! As always we will have a great selection of new and used books. We've got a pretty comprehensive collection of new fiction, and check out our staff recommendations! We're carrying some lovely new cookbooks, new poetry, new manga and YA, and more! And that's not even getting to our used collection, and our vintage books.
If all goes as planned, we will have self-service tea from the best tea company in the world (according to Raymond), Camellia-Sinensis, in Montreal. We should also have some tea and sets for purchase as gifts, as well as coffee from Tandem Coffee Roasters in Portland, ME. We might also have some very special olive oil from The Olive Table in Woodstock, Vermont. They have a single-source olive oil from a farm in Greece, with some very old trees!
As a NEIBA member, we pay close attention to the books that they recommend, and we also keep a close watch on reviewed books in the New York Times and the New Yorker. Because our staff loves independent presses and academic work too, we stock books from small publishers and university presses too. Come and tell us what you're interested in--if we don't have it on site, we might be able to bring it over from Roundabout Books in Greenfield, or order it for you.
